Northfork is a Swedish retail-tech SaaS start-up. Their solution revolutionises online grocery shopping, enabling customers to shop by recipe. This enhances the customer experience and efficiency, allowing customers to draw inspiration for meals and as well as cutting the time they spend on their weekly grocery shop.
The CEO, Erik Wallin had, until recently, acted as Northfork’s major revenue generator and as the business began to scale internationally, Erik needed to create a commercial structure, freeing him up to lead the business through their next phase of growth.
Erik was seeking driven new business hunters with knowledge of the CPG/FMCG space, ideally experienced in selling a technical solution. The candidate pool was small as retail tech is an emerging market.
We required candidates who had the appetite to join a start-up and who were not afraid of being the first dedicated revenue generator in their territory, taking a new product to market.
Northfork was introduced to Engage PSG Search through one of their major investors, after we recently completed several search assignments for other brands in their portfolio.
The retained search process was managed by Dane Crossie, beginning with a mapping exercise of all relevant retail-tech companies in the US and UK, identifying prospective candidates, qualifying their suitability and leading both client and candidate through the end-to-end journey.
Successful completion of the search, appointing both the UK and US Head of Sales positions, resulting in further business of an additional head placed in the US.
